Sweet Box Truck Named Best Dessert Truck at Philly Vendy Awards

I took the bus down to Philadelphia to volunteer for the first annual Philly Vendy Awards. I am on the social media committee for the Vendy Awards this year and my job in Philly was to live tweet the festivities. It can be hard to tweet when you are at an eating event. However it was fun to meet fellow food bloggers, food truck owners and cupcake lovers. I met Gretchen, the owner of Sweet Box Truck and was surprised to see Ryan, cupcake correspondent and Ryan's Baking Blog founder. He is interning with Sweet Box Truck as well. I also chatted with Stacy of the blog Scrumptious Swirls who I met last year at the Martha Stewart blogger party. She and her daughter were among the many volunteers who helped out during the day.




The judges didn't need to eat the whole cupcake to determine that Sweet Box truck was the winner for best cupcake.




I ate one of Sweet Box Truck's vegan espresso hazelnut cupcake. It was delicious!
