This afternoon, I got to the 69th Regiment Armory not knowing what to expect. When I walked in I saw kids, moms, members of the military and tons of press and lots of cameramen. However, the awesomeness of the big orange piñata blew me away. The 46-foot tall piñata replica of the Orange M&M’S spokescandy was so big that it was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records today.
Cee Lo Green, musician, producer and coach of The Voice was brave enough to pull the cord as 2000lbs of candy fell. I took this video with my camera of the countdown.
After the candy drop, there were cupcakes. They were delicious, and I wonder what New York bakery made them.
