Chocolate-covered cherry chocolate cupcakes!

These fun, adorable chocolate-covered cherry chocolate cupcakes are from blogger Confections of a Foodie Bride. She's got the recipe(s) and writes:

Chocolate Cake – I’ve flip-flopped over the last few years on a favorite chocolate cake recipe. I’ve been torn between America’s Test Kitchen’s Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake and Martha Stewart’s Devil’s Food Cake. But with this last batch of cupcakes, I think it’s finally settled. Martha’s recipe is fluffy, moist, and gets a big dose of deep chocolatey flavor from dutch-process cocoa. To me, it’s the perfect chocolate cake.

Cherry Limeade Cupcake (with a recipe link!)

I've been drooling over Annie's Eats Cherry Limeade cupcakes.  I mean really, can you go wrong with that flavor combo?  Plus, anyone  who has ever had the cherry limeade slushy from Sonic knows how delicious it is!

This week, I made my version of the Cherry Limeade cupcake.  I started with lime infused sugar, lots of lime juice, and frozen lime juice concentrate.  (Actually, it was a lime margarita mix, but hey... that works too, right?) I topped off the cupcake with a super sweet cherry frosting topped with a fresh lime wedge and maraschino cherry. Pretty much perfect for the summer!

To learn how to make these, check out JavaCupcake for the recipe and how-to! You'll even learn how to make your own lime sugar!
