Sweet potato cupcakes, Samoa, cotton candy, cute dog, salted caramel crunch and more from Sweet B Cupcakes in Cour d'Alene, Idaho

Sweet B Cupcakes in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho is getting ready for fall--and Thanksgiving (!!)--with their special seasonal cupcake flavors. Photos and captions via their Facebook page.





Sweet potato cupcake: "It is a playful rendition of a favorite Thanksgiving side dish complete with marshmallow cream frosting toasted to order...and topped with candied walnuts."

Salted Caramel Crunch- A chocolate toffee cake filled with salted caramel and topped with a ganache dipped caramel buttercream drizzled with caramel.



On the left we have Cotton Candy, a vanilla cupcake topped with a cotton candy butter-cream swirl! And on the right we have our Bubble Gum cupcake, a vanilla cupcake with a bubblegum butter-cream topped with a gumball!

5 kinds of edible leaf cupcake toppers for fall

It's fall, which means leaves turning colors, Halloween and Thanksgiving around the corner, pumpkin cupcakes and other seasonal fun, including fall leaves cupcake toppers. Here are five examples we found on Etsy - click through on photo to be taken to the sales page.

"Each order is hand made and will be unique, so there may be some minor differences between the stars pictured and the ones you receive."



Fall leaf monogrammed cupcake topper by Etsy seller FancyCakeArt, 12 for $14, choice of monogram letter and date. "Each leaf measures about 2.5" tall/wide. The leafs are made from fondant, royal icing, and topped off with edible sugar glitter."

Blueberry lemon cupcakes with lemon cream cheese frosting and recipe link

Chocolate pretzel amazingness, Harry Potter butterbeer cupcakes and much more by The Confectioneress

These cupcakes are all by bakery The Confectioneress in Zionsville, Indiana, who you can find on Facebook and Flickr, both of which are the sources for these gorgeous cupcakes. Today's cupcakes are coffee & cream, chocolate covered cherry, red velvet, chocolate/choc, chocolate/van, vanilla/van, vanilla/choc, maple bacon, almond amaretto latte, chocolate pb, cookie dough, coconut snowball, hummingbird, & malted vanilla caramel. Also: "End of the week special! If you dine in, you can get a cupcake & a drink for only $4. That includes any of the flavors of homemade Italian cream sodas, hot or iced coffee, hot or iced loose leaf tea, or any of our gourmet sodas!"
