Or, I guess technically, a Hello Kitty macaron...On Monday, we shared justJENN's Hello Kitty cookie cupcake and now there's Hello Kitty macarons on top of cupcakes! Let me just write that again: Hello Kitty macarons. Seriously, it blows my mind. I made these owl cupcakes for my dad's birthday last weekend. He collects owls (we're talking like 100X as many owls as I have Hello Kitties!) Anyway, these are chocolate cupcakes with dark chocolate frosting, Oreo cookies for eyes and ears, Junior Mint eyeballs, and banana Runts for beaks. I used a patriotic cupcake paper with red and blue stars since it was 4th of July weekend :)
